About this plant

Better known as “Cocky’s Tongue” or “Coral Bush” this hardy shrub is well suited to cultivation and can often be seen in roadside revegetation projects as well as native gardens. Growing up to 2m high with deep red flowers and evergreen foliage it is easy to see why it is so popular as it makes a spectacular feature plant while being water wise, limestone tolerant, salt tolerant, and bird attracting to boot.
