Pimelea cracens

About this plant

A latin name meaning graceful applies well to this spindly and erect shrub with its slender leaves and stems. It adds to the picture with beautiful cream and yellow pendent flowers from July to December. With a preference for winter wet depressions, undulating plains and roadsides, this species can be found in the Esperance plain, Jarrah Forest and Mallee bioregions of the south-west. Often establishes well after bushfires where more smothering vegetation has yet to regrow.
